Since Scott's missionary farewell talk was scheduled for October 20th, we actually held Evie's birthday party on her birthday, Saturday the 19th. Saturday morning was also the day that Scott went through the temple to take his endowments out. Rob couldn't be there because it was smack in the middle of hunting season, but the kids and I drove down to Utah Friday night and stayed the night at Tim and Tam's, then we all got up early to go to the temple. Jess and Matt watched my kids and it was great to be there for Scott. What a big day! We went out for lunch at Olive Garden afterwards (Thanks Dad Merkley!) and then drove home for Evie's birthday party.

| We only had pink and purple balloons--that's what you get when you have four daughters! They didn't exactly fit the theme, but the kids didn't seem to care! |
| And both sets of grandparents were there! |
| The Halls and the Hunzikers came for the fun! |
| The spiderweb game |
| All tangled in the spiderweb |

| And the birthday girl! Who decided she wanted pink "hair" and a purple crown on her birthday. She changes her clothes approximately four times a day, just because she wants to wear something else. |
| Can't go wrong with ice cream cake! |
| Happy Birthday Evie! |
| Papa |

| And the toys being enjoyed later that week. |
| She loves that new dress! |
She had a stellar birthday party! It was thoroughly enjoyed by all! Can't believe she is four! She is such a smart, independent girl. She is the one who remembers where things are and always remembers the things you promise her. She is also very physically talented, and has a wonderful sense of where her body is and how to get it where she wants it. She is a joy to have in our family. We love you Evie!
