Lots of fun things in August, and also the end of summer break.
| Clearly, Evie dressed herself. |
Uinta County Fair: family fun times! My kids loved all the bouncy houses and also the bungee trampolines:
| Evie |
| Claire |
| Hallie |
| Claire trying to flip--see Uncle Scott in the background there? |
| Evie flipping! |
| We saw all the fair animals and got to hold this little baby goat |
| The other girls got flower wands from the balloon man. Not Hallie. It was an alien blaster hat she wanted. |
| Playing in the sandbox |
| We saw the Ellises there and the girls played with Jonie and Laney in the sandbox. |
More summer fun:
| Look at those pigtails!! First time with piggies! |
| She's getting so big! |
| Playing with our neighbors, the Lemons. |
| We went for a walk to the school park |
| Claire was keeping a count of how many bugs we saw on the walk. |
One day, we were playing Apples to Apples backwards, and this was one result. So in this version of the game, one person chooses a red card and everyone has to play an adjective that describes that red card. This one turned out so perfect!!
| Pretty sunset |
Also in August, we built a fence! Rob and our neighbor built the brick retaining wall, then we had a local guy come and put in the vinyl fence. We love it!! Sooooooo nice!
| We love our fence!! It makes such a difference in our backyard. Now, the next project is landscaping said backyard. |
| More gorgeous summer sunsets! Bridger Valley is so beautiful in the summertime. |
| This is what happens when mom takes too long in the store... |
And sadly, summer break had to come to an end. We walked the girls to school on their first day. They were so excited for school to start! Love that they get to walk to school. So nice!
| The theme this year is Dinosaurs: Dig Into Reading, so they had this dino there on the first day. |
| Evie misses her sisters while they are in school! |
| Hallie is in second grade with Mrs. Erickson and Claire in first grade with Mr. Smith. |
And to end August on a fun note, we went to the rendezvous, which was the very last weekend in August. I just took the kids on my own because it was a Friday, and they don't have school on Fridays--I still think that is so awesome.
| Playing under the bridge |
| We brought Claire's friend Joanna Crane with us. She's such a cute girl! |
| Claire with the fan she bought and Joanna with a waterbug she caught! |
| The girls with one of the Indian dancers. |
| Watching the Indian dancers |
| At the end, we all got up and danced together. |
I love living here! It is quiet most of the time, but we still have fun events to look forward to. There is a really great sense of community spirit here, and people really give their all to making community events great.
