Blairtown Trip

Although we no longer live close to Rock Springs, Blairtown park is still one of our favorite places.  We still make a special trip just so we can go to Blairtown! We bring lunch and stay for hours. The kids and I all love it!!

We made the trip shortly after we got home from our Southern California reunion.  This time we went with Tenya (and kids) and Stacey (and kids).  It was a blast, as usual! A perfect Wyoming summer day without wind!

We had lunch first because they had closed the pool for lunch anyway.  Then as soon as we were done eating and sunscreen-ing, we got straight in the water!

After swimming awhile, the kids wanted to get out and do the zipline.  The little ones played on the playground while the big kids did the zipline.

It's hard to tow that big old rope back up to the platform!

Kynslee wanted to go on the zipline, but was too scared to go on her own, so I went with her.

 Evie also went with me the first time, but then she was brave enough to go on her own.

Shaelyn liked the slide and got braver as the day went on.  She would only do it with Mom at first, and then she branched out and let Hallie take her down.  All the kids (and moms) had a ball!

After a few hours of swimming hard and playing hard, Stacey offered to watch the kids while I made a giant Wal-Mart run.  It was so nice to be able to shop without the kids! I love my kids A LOT, but not having to herd them everywhere and constantly say "No, we can't get that," was pretty nice.  It was a fun and productive day in Rock Springs.

Blairtown is the best! I'm so glad we have this outdoor pool in Wyoming to enjoy in the summertime!
